Who can afford to live here?
The cost of living in Georgia has increased sharply in recent years, making it harder for families to keep up even when they are working full-time. Homeownership has become increasingly out of reach, due to rising rent prices and stagnant wages.
As a state representative, I would support:
Raising the minimum wage, which is currently set at $5.15 an hour.
Reevaluating housing policies that allow unchecked rent increases
Stopping tax and power bill breaks to corporations and the ultra wealthy
Eliminating the flat tax and implementing a progressive tax
