Like you, I paid attention to state and national politics because I understand how policy affects our daily lives. My husband and I have built careers outside the traditional nine-to-five world, which means we don’t have employer-sponsored health insurance or retirement benefits.

We know what it means to make sacrifices and plan for the future without the security that many people take for granted. 

At the same time, my parents are getting older, and my daughter is three years old. Caregiving is expensive, and balancing those responsibilities is one of the reasons we switched to nontraditional jobs. In 2024, after Roe was overturned, I experienced a miscarriage. My husband and I made the difficult decision not to have more children in a state where politicians are making medical decisions about women’s healthcare. Those experiences are what pushed me from paying attention to politics to running for office. 

I believe our community deserves a representative who understands the challenges ordinary people face because they live them every day. We deserve someone who answers to us. I’m a mother, and like every parent, I think constantly about the future my daughter will inherit. I want her to grow up in a Georgia where hard work means something, where families can afford healthcare and housing, and where our elected leaders are focused on solving problems instead of creating them. 

Too many politicians talk about working families without understanding what it actually means to worry about healthcare costs, retirement, childcare, and making ends meet. I’m running because I do understand those concerns, and because I believe Democrats need Progressive candidates who are willing to fight for us.  

I also know that most people don’t have lobbyists calling them every day or big donors writing them checks. That's why my vote isn’t for sale. My voice isn’t for sale. And I won’t be bought by corporations, lobbyists, or wealthy special interests. I’m running to represent the people of House District 120. When I get to the State Capitol, those are the people I will answer to.
